WEST VALLEY LEAGUE
18U—Coach Steven
Game 1 8-9 Loss to West Valley
The first game was an overall strong showing against formidable and familiar opponents. Early foul trouble made establishing defensive intensity difficult and gave our opponents some accessible offensive opportunities.
Even though the game was challenging, we managed to keep pace with West Valley, as neither team ever led by more than two goals. The game was tied until West Valley scored the go-ahead goal with less than 30 seconds left on the game clock.
Overall, the boys played well in a competitive game with many bright spots.
Game 2 9-10 Loss to A-Town
After a short break, our boys played new opponents from the San Luis Obispo area. The second game got off to a similar shaky start, but this time, our offense struggled for the first half. Defensively, we still managed to stop the opposing offensive attack, but we let some easy goals slip through our grasp.
The second half of the second game was a testament to our team's offensive improvement. We turned up the intensity on both offense and defense, ending the game with three straight offensive possessions. Although we ran out of time and lost by one goal, this performance is a promising sign for our future games.
While the day ended with two tough losses, the games were not without their silver lining. They were full of valuable lessons that our team can carry with them into the upcoming JO Quals games, providing us with a solid foundation for our future performances.

16U Blue
Game 1 vs. West Valley A
It started very sloppy and went down 0-5 in the first quarter. We picked up after that and played much better defense in the next three quarters, only losing 3-4 for a final of 3-9 (L)
Game 2 vs. Marin
It was another difficult start after going down 0-8 in the first quarter. Despite this, the team showed some great resolution and switched tactics into a hard press defense and counterattack and managed to win the next 3 quarters handily with goals across the board, including a hat trick for Sam Stallings. Final score was 9-13 (L)
16U White
Game 1 vs. West Valley A
Despite a robust West Valley team, that was a solid showing for the white team. They battled back and forth with good chances on offense and some strong defense in the frontcourt. There were some bright moments in the center from Zach and Dylan, each scoring goals to keep morale high, and a beautiful 1 on 1 turn and goal from Ananta. Finally, the team executed a perfect power play to score a goal that even the 18u team would be proud of. Overall a good game despite losing 13-6
Game 2 vs. West Valley B
It was a very evenly matched battle, with both teams showing defensive, solid sides. Halftime came with a 2-1 lead for Midpen. After trading goals back and forth, our counterattack took us ahead to lead 5-4 with 2 minutes left in the game. Two very strong defense positions kept us in the lead, which was held firm by blocks from goalie Trevor to close out the game. Great win for the white team!
14U JUNIOR OLYMPICS QUALIFIYERS
Coach Adam
After an impossibly hard first day against two powerful teams, our athletes bounced back with incredible determination on days 2 and 3, securing three impressive wins. This weekend's team chemistry was outstanding; seeing them come together so effectively was beautiful.
Despite some questionable calls during the close NorCal game, our players stayed focused and supportive of each other, demonstrating true teamwork. With the three wins under their belt, it was inspiring to witness how well they locked in and helped each other out.
Even though they did not qualify for the Junior Olympics, I am very proud of their performance and resilience. Great job, everyone!
